Together Women Rise is conducting our most ambitious annual appeal ever in response to an unprecedented global crisis for women and girls. We received over 600 grant applications this year (more than three times our usual amount) – evidence of the devastating impact of massive government cuts to international aid. Women and girls are always disproportionately impacted during any crisis and now face greater risks to their health, safety, livelihoods, rights, and education. Many grassroots organizations, including our grantees, are laying off staff, cutting programs, and even facing closure.

Rise is committed to addressing this crisis by raising $800,000 during our year-end annual appeal in order to fund our usual 12 Featured Grants PLUS six extra Featured Grants in 2026. The number of extra grants depends on the success of this campaign, which is only possible through the generous donations of our supporters. There are several ways that you can support our annual appeal: 

  1. Make an annual appeal gift. Donations can be made online, or by mailing a check to: Together Women Rise, P.O. Box 890272 Charlotte, NC 28289-0272.
  2. Join our Founders’ Circle with a gift of $1,000 or more.  
  3. Reach out to your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers and ask them to support women and girls around the world.  They don’t need to be a member of a chapter to donate to Rise! Social media is a great place to share your love for Rise and help fund more grants. Our Social Media Toolkit has sample messages and images that you can use on your social media pages.
  4. Encourage your Rise chapter to participate in our new Chapter Challenge. The Chapter Challenge invites Rise chapters nationwide to raise more funds for the annual appeal by encouraging chapter members, family, friends, and others to give. Chapters can participate in multiple categories – from total dollars raised to creative fundraising approaches – ensuring that every chapter, regardless of size, can make a meaningful contribution and potentially win exciting prizes.   5. Host a fundraiser with your chapter. Chapter fundraisers are a creative and fun way to raise money and share your love for Rise with your family and friends. Please note that we do have specific fundraising — see our new Chapter Fundraiser Toolkit) and that all chapters must first submit a Fundraiser Approval Form. 

Donations to our annual appeal are used to:  

  • Fund our grants and partnerships 
  • Conduct rigorous screening, vetting, and monitoring of our grantees 
  • Provide excellent educational materials and engagement opportunities for our members 
  • Support new and existing chapters across the U.S. 
  • Provide resources and support for members to raise their voices and advocate for women and girls globally 
  • Ensure that we have a strong, sustainable organization for years to come
