Since August 2021, women and girls in Afghanistan have experienced one of the most severe rollbacks of rights in modern history. Over the past five years, restrictions have expanded to nearly every aspect of public life, including education, employment, freedom of movement, access to healthcare, political participation, and personal autonomy. Despite these challenges Afghan women and girls continue to demonstrate extraordinary resilience while facing systemic discrimination, economic hardship, and growing isolation.
