Summary
Adelante addresses persistently high poverty and the oppression of women in Honduras by pairing subsidized microloans with practical financial education for low-income entrepreneurial women. With this grant, Adelante will implement a 12-month, phased program for low-income entrepreneurial women. The program includes disbursement of microloans, education, monitoring, and reinvestment, thus creating discipline, transparency, and compounding impact over time.
