Mission of Project Zawadi
The mission of Project Zawadi is to ensure Tanzanian children and youth have access to a quality education.

Summary
Our grant will support the Girls’ Safety in Schools and Communities (GSSC) pilot program that will address gender-based violence (GBV) in schools, families, and communities and empower girls to feel in control of their lives. Activities include counseling sessions, empowerment clubs, annual empowerment camps, weekend entrepreneurial training for girls, student councils large-scale training and more.

We love this project because it is committed to a student-centered model that empowers girls to feel in control of their lives. Girls will develop the skills, knowledge, and attitude necessary to resist, report, and seek counseling on GBV.
