Accounting and Data Associate

The Accounting and Data Associate serves as a key connector between development and finance, ensuring that donor data and financial records are accurate, aligned, and actionable. This role contributes to a culture where data is leveraged as a strategic asset to deepen donor relationships, improve retention, and support mission-driven growth.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Accounting and Data Associate plays a critical role in advancing strategic philanthropy by ensuring the integrity of donor data, strengthening the donor experience, and supporting data-informed fundraising and financial decisions.

This is a part-time position (24–30 hours per week). While the organization operates primarily remotely, this role requires weekly on-site work in Greenville, SC.

Grantmaking Strategy & Benchmarking Intern 

The Grantmaking Strategy & Benchmarking Intern will conduct a structured benchmarking study of peer funders in the gender equality space. The strategic work includes evaluating peer reporting frameworks and models, identifying adaptable best practices, and producing documentation that informs governance-level decision making. The Grantmaking Strategy & Benchmarking Intern will support the Program & Grantmaking Manager, CEO and members of the Rise grants committee in this research-oriented role.

This is a fully remote, unpaid position ideal for someone seeking practical research experience in philanthropy, nonprofit program management, and global development – particularly in grantmaking focused on women and girls in the Global South.
