Together Women Rise funds grants and partnerships that support our overall mission to achieve global gender equality.
Our Featured Grants are largely focused on delivering direct services by funding grassroots organizations that empower and support women and girls in low-income communities in the Global South.
The Global South includes many of the countries in Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia and the Pacific, and the Middle East. These countries experience higher levels of poverty, income inequality, lower life expectancy, and harsh living conditions compared to the wealthier nations located mostly in North America and Europe.
We fund a range of projects related to women's economic opportunities, education, leadership, health, safety and security, and climate justice. Many of our grants fund integrated approaches that address multiple, interconnected challenges -- projects that combine education with health services and economic empowerment, for example. These multi-pronged solutions create an even greater and more sustainable impact as we truly unlock the full potential of women and girls!
Our funding creates ripple effects for the women and girls, their families and their communities, and even for our grantees themselves. We have been early, catalytic funders of many small, grassroots organizations. Many have grown in scope since receiving our grant, therefore helping more women and girls in the fight for gender equality.
