Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis

Our hearts go out to all the people of Ukraine. Almost 3 million people have fled Ukraine, most of them women and children, and there are an estimated 1.85 million internally displaced people inside the country.

One of our past grantees, Refugee Protection International (RPI), is providing Ukraine crisis relief in two key areas:

  • RPI is in Romania to help organize and fund medical evacuations from Kyiv, Ukraine, and meet the newborns rescued in March 2022 through RPI’s collaboration with Ukrainian medical personnel, Romanian authorities, mothers, and volunteers. Urgent funding is needed to continue these evacuations.
  • RPI is delivering humanitarian supplies at the Romanian-Ukrainian border for hospitals and internally displaced persons in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. RPI also supports Bright Kids Charity in Kyiv, Ukraine to provide urgent cash assistance, protection monitoring, and referrals for war-affected children with disabilities.
