Mission of HOPE Foundation for Women and Children
To provide health services to needy people in Bangladesh, particularly the women and children in rural areas.

Summary
HOPE Foundation aims to create an Obstetric Fistula Team to support its International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) trained surgeon, that will conduct obstetric fistula surgeries on a year-round basis, as well as implement a prevention and awareness campaign. This will be done by utilizing space in their hospital and training four staff members as specialized fistula staff to best serve the existing fistula program.

Why We Love This
We love this program because it's possible to restore women's lives and their relationships to the community in such a way that they may become advocates and sources of information as well as role models for others. The awareness and prevention outreach program helps to educate women and birth attendants about these potential birth complications and their prevention, and helps locate women who would benefit from surgery. It brings hope and new life to many ostracized and abandoned women.
